Lion in the Sun began on a beach in Fiji in 1998, when the company founder, Cristina Sanders went to visit her brother who was living, with his family, on a little island called Malololailai.

Everything was there that formed the basis of the company: sun, children, sun, sea, sand, families, sun, happiness,  holidays, swimming pools, more sun.

She sat on the beach and designed her first UV suit, and the company has never looked back.

Lion in the sun is a specialist company. Sun protective beach wear is the entire focus of the business and the staff devote their days to improving the product. They design, test, re-design and improve the swimwear, paying attention to fabrics, cut, finishing and fit. It involves hours on beaches all over the world, testing product, photographing wannabe surfers and checking out what's hot.

Now in its 8th year of trading, Lion in the Sun is one of the best known and popular brands of swimwear in the United Kingdom with a fantastic reputation for quality and style. Lion in the Sun USA has been serving American and Canadian customers for 3 years.  Lion in the Sun Down under launched in September to bring their distinctive brand of sun protective swimwear to customers from New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

Particularly to Fiji, where it all began.
